PLEASE ENSURE
- If you are unable to attend this Exam session - let us know ASAP please.
- Please ensure all Exam fees have been paid in full ASAP. Cheques only accepted if £15.00 or over - made payable please to "The Phillomena School Of Dance". Cash only please if under £15.00.
- You are in the changing room & ready for your Exam 30 minutes prior to your first scheduled Exam time.
- You have all the correct uniform required and the correct shoes - cleaned please!
- Your hair is in the required style - no fringes, tightly secured with gel / hair Spray - no headbands. Please use thin hair/ bun nets to cover buns - see me if you are unsure.
- Hair for all Theatre Craft grades must be worn either in French plaits or two plaits clipped over head - buns for all Theatre Craft grades are not permitted due to floor work exercises.
- All jewellery is removed, no nail varnish & no transfers or tatoos please!
- Knickers should not be worn under leotards - students may wear thongs.
- Please tuck in all draw strings on Ballet shoes black / pink & ensure elastic / ribbons are sewn in the correct place.
- You give the examiner a big smile and you do your best!
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Pre-juvenile Group Award: Pink leo, pink polka dot skirt, pink ballet shoes with elastic, pink ankle socks. Hair in bun. With polka dot scrunchie to match skirt.
Ballet Rosette & Theatre Craft Rosette & National Rosette: Pink leo, pink polka dot skirt & scrunchie, black ballet shoes with elastic, pink ballet ankle socks. Hair in bun.
Jazz Rosette & Tap Rosette: Pink leo, pink scrunchie, black ballet shoes with elastic for jazz or black tap shoes for tap, pink ballet ankle socks. Hair in bun.
Preparatory Ballet & Primary Ballet: Pink leo, pink ballet shoes with elastic, pink ballet ankle socks, pink ballet wrap skirt. Hair in bun. Some students now wear black leo´s etc from primary upwards - see me if you are unsure.
Preparatory & Primary Tap: Pink leo, black tap shoes, pink ballet ankle socks, hair in bun or plaits if you also have a TC exam. - Pink short lycra skirt. Some students now wear black leo´s etc from primary upwards - see me if you are unsure.

Grade 1 & above theatre craft:
Age under 10 years - Black leo, black & white chiffon skirt, pink ballet ankle socks, black ballet shoes with elastic, heeled shoes (silver or character) hair in french plaits or two plaits over head.
Age 10 & over - Black leo, pink ballet tights, black ballet shoes with elastic, heeled shoes (silver or character) hair in french plaits or two plaits over head.
Grade 1 tap: Black leo or leo of your choice (please see me), black & white chiffon skirt, black tap shoes, toast tights / pink ballet tights - hair in bun with a nice scrunchie or plaits if you also have a TC exam.
Grade 2 tap & above: Black leo or leo of your choice (please see me), black tap shoes, black lycra / velvet jazz pants, hair in bun with a nice scrunchie or plaits if you also have a TC exam.
Grade 1 ballet & above: Black leo, pink ballet tights, black net skirt (or if you have a pink leo & skirt you may wear that - no skirt for grade 2 & above), pink ballet shoes with elastic. Hair in bun.
Freestyle / disco rosette: Black lycra jazz pants, black ankle socks, black ballet shoes with elastic, phillomena t-shirt, hair in bun with a nice scrunchie.
Freestyle / disco medals: Black lycra/ velvet jazz pants, black ankle socks, black ballet shoes / black split sole jazz shoes - leotard or top of your choice with scrunchie to match - hair can be in a pony tail. - Please note there should be no writing on tops worn.
Freestyle / disco duets: Black lycra/ velvet jazz pants, black ankle socks, black ballet shoes / black split sole jazz shoes - leotard or top of your choice with scrunchie to match your partner. - Please note there should be no writing on tops worn.
Cheerleaders: Pl t-shirt / black skirt / black briefs / white socks / white trainers / hair in pony tail with official pink scrunchie / pom poms.
